I am currently an Associate Professor of Scene Design and Chair of the Performing Arts Department at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. I also served as the resident scenic designer for New Harmony Theatre from 2016-2019.
From 1985 to 2015, I was a New York City-based theatrical scenic designer and design associate who worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national touring companies. My "studio" skills include hand & AutoCAD drafting, drawing & painting and model building. I use my "production" skills such as scene painting, sewing, prop shopping & construction, on many shows whether I am designing or supervising.
I earned an MFA from the University of Wisconsin and a BA from Ohio Northern University and am a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 since 1986. I have served on the Union's negotiating committee for the Broadway design contract and the Scenic Design exam committee.
